BMBC not only outperformed traditional puffy coats in a crash test situation but also tested similarly to no coat at all. We have also had the coat evaluated by CPSTs who like the design and recommended we remove the hood in the final design.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How does the coat work? Is there any fabric between my child and the harness?” el_id=”1486725926956-851f4fee-2937″]The front panel of the coat opens at the side and shoulder seams leaving the shoulders and chest area bare so that the harness can lie flat and snug against the chest and shoulder. The front panel attaches with velcro and is easily removed.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What about the back of the coat – is that puffy too?” el_id=”1486725699890-2dd0904b-67f9″]The back of the fabric is thinner than the front leaving no excess fabric to create slack in the harness. In fact, you can adjust the harness with no coat on – put the coat back on and use the car seat with the coat without readjusting the harness again.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What if there is a car accident, the car is on fire, or submerged in water. Will the coat delay getting my child out?” el_id=”1486725927523-ed64c844-d9f7″]The panel attaches with velcro and a storm panel with snaps. We do not recommend snapping the coat back together over the harness. Why would parents want the extra step anyway? Removing the child with the coat on should not be any faster or slower than with any other article of clothing.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Has Buckle Me Baby Coats been evaluated by CPSTs?” el_id=”1486725925776-ac8c4092-e443″]We collaborated with local CPSTs who physically examined the coat and found it to be a safer option to the puffy winter coat and similar to no coat with the recommendation that the hood be removed in the final design.

[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Won’t my child be too hot in this coat.” el_id=”1486726042623-1d01239b-912a”]The panel can be rolled to the side to keep little ones from overheating in the car. If your child usually wears a coat or blanket in the car they will find the BMB Coat comfortable too.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”This works for the winter but what about the summer?” el_id=”1486726061889-5c08dd23-3f05″]We’re working on a summer solution – stay tuned![/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”I have another question not covered here.” el_id=”1486726086337-0c4d247c-a302″]Please email us at [email protected] we will be happy to answer all your questions![/vc_toggle][/vc_column][/vc_row]
